Web-based multi-user Chat module

Web-based multi-user Chat module

We were brought in to develop a web-based Chat module for one of the world's most successful web-toolbar companies (client name redacted due to NDA). Our module is in production, powering Chat for a gazillion websites and a bazillion users, we're very proud of it.

We developed both the back-end and the front-end for this project. For the back-end we used Tornado, a scalable non-blocking server written in Python and utilizing epoll). For the front-end we used our ninja JavaScript and jQuery skills, utilizing the principles of Comet for long-polling web-clients. No Flash has been used in the module's development.
